About
Arkitekt for iPad puts the drawing under your hands. It works in portrait and landscape, the tool rail and the assistant slide in over the sheet when you want them, and drawings export to Files. Arkitekt is a drawing board for buildings. Describe what you want and it draws it, then tells you why it is organised the way it is. DRAW IN PLAN Walls, rooms, doors and windows on a proper drafting sheet, with a grid, snapping, dimension strings and a scale bar. Everything is in real metres at a real scale, so what you draw is what gets built. NOT JUST BOXES Ask for a crescent, a circular plan, a spiral, a courtyard or a clover and you get the form with its rooms and doors already in it. Walls can curve, and they can wave. SEE IT IN THREE DIMENSIONS The plan becomes a building you can turn and look at, with its roof, its openings and every storey in place. BUILD UPWARDS Add a storey and the envelope carries up so the loads line through. Gable, hipped, mono-pitch and flat roofs are drawn as proper roof plans, not extruded outlines. STAIRS THAT WORK Rise and going are checked against the 2R+G rule, so a flight you draw is a flight you could actually climb. STRUCTURE Spans, joist directions and lintels over openings, checked rather than assumed. SERVICES Electrical, plumbing and heating drawn as real runs and real symbols. Sockets spaced to the rule, switches beside the door you walk in by, circuits that start at the board and end at the last outlet on them. You can look at the drawing and argue with it, which is the point. FINISHES AND MATERIALS Every surface can carry a finish, and the drawing shows it. START FROM A PHOTOGRAPH Point Arkitekt at a picture of a building and it measures the storeys, the windows and the roof pitch off the pixels, then draws the frontage. SHARE IT Send a view-only link and the other person can turn the building and step through it floor by floor in 2D. They do not need the app. EXPORT Any floor, as a PDF, at a real scale. AN ASSISTANT THAT DRAWS Arkitekt has an architect built in, and it draws rather than asks. Tell it "a crescent villa, four bedrooms, two storeys" and it is on the sheet before you have finished reading this sentence. Argue with the drawing; that is faster than answering questions about a building that does not exist yet. It works on its own, with no account and no connection. If you would rather use your own AI service, you can point Arkitekt at your own endpoint. ONE PRICE No subscription, no in-app purchases, no account. Your plans are files on your own device. Arkitekt collects nothing and tracks nothing.Read more

Arkitekt is a drawing board for buildings. Describe what you want and it draws it, then tells you why it is organised the way it is.
DRAW IN PLAN
Walls, rooms, doors and windows on a proper drafting sheet, with a grid, snapping, dimension strings and a scale bar. Everything is in real metres at a real scale, so what you draw is what gets built.
NOT JUST BOXES
Ask for a crescent, a circular plan, a spiral, a courtyard or a clover and you get the form with its rooms and doors already in it. Walls can curve, and they can wave.
SEE IT IN THREE DIMENSIONS
The plan becomes a building you can turn and look at, with its roof, its openings and every storey in place.
BUILD UPWARDS
Add a storey and the envelope carries up so the loads line through. Gable, hipped, mono-pitch and flat roofs are drawn as proper roof plans, not extruded outlines.
STAIRS THAT WORK
Rise and going are checked against the 2R+G rule, so a flight you draw is a flight you could actually climb.
STRUCTURE
Spans, joist directions and lintels over openings, checked rather than assumed.
SERVICES
Electrical, plumbing and heating drawn as real runs and real symbols. Sockets spaced to the rule, switches beside the door you walk in by, circuits that start at the board and end at the last outlet on them. You can look at the drawing and argue with it, which is the point.
FINISHES AND MATERIALS
Every surface can carry a finish, and the drawing shows it.
START FROM A PHOTOGRAPH
Point Arkitekt at a picture of a building and it measures the storeys, the windows and the roof pitch off the pixels, then draws the frontage.
SHARE IT
Send a view-only link and the other person can turn the building and step through it floor by floor in 2D. They do not need the app.
EXPORT
Any floor, as a PDF, at a real scale.
AN ASSISTANT THAT DRAWS
Arkitekt has an architect built in, and it draws rather than asks.
ONE PRICE
No subscription, no in-app purchases, no account. Your plans are files on your own device. Arkitekt collects nothing and tracks nothing.
