About

Grading a single card now costs between $17 and $80, and the wait runs for months. Most cards come back a 9. Slabmint measures the card on your iPhone first, so you only send the ones worth sending. MEASURED, NOT GUESSED Photograph the card. Slabmint finds the outline, flattens the perspective and locates the printed border, then reports how far off centre the card sits — left to right and top to bottom, to a tenth of a percent. If the border is hard to see, drag the four guides yourself; a magnifier follows your finger and the numbers update as you drag. WHITENING ON EVERY EDGE AND CORNER The back of a card is where grades are lost. Slabmint checks a thin band around the whole card for the light, desaturated pixels that mean whitening, scores each edge and corner, and paints what it found straight onto the image. SURFACE LENS Three ways to re-light the captured card: raking light for fine scratches, relief for dents and creases, and a foil sweep that rotates colour across holo patterns. Tell Slabmint what you see and it factors that in. FIVE GRADING COMPANIES, SIDE BY SIDE The same measurements are compared against the published centering tolerances of PSA, Beckett (BGS), CGC, SGC and TAG. See which company's scale suits the card in your hand, and exactly which grade the centering allows. AN ANSWER, NOT JUST A NUMBER Every estimate breaks down into named factors — front centering, back centering, corners, edges, surface — so you can see what is holding the card back. Then Slabmint compares the expected return against the real grading fee and shipping, and tells you the gem rate you would need to break even. SUBMISSION PLANNER Group the keepers into one submission, with the total cost, the expected return and the turnaround for the service level you picked. Track it from planning to slab. EVERYTHING ON THE DEVICE Measurement runs on your iPhone using Apple's Vision and Core Image frameworks. Your photographs never leave the device. There is no account and no analytics. If you search the card catalogue, only the text you type is sent to the public Pokémon TCG API to look up names, sets and market prices — you can skip it and type the details yourself. FREE AND MEMBERSHIP Measuring cards, the grade odds for all five companies and the shareable report are free, with no limit. Slabmint Collector adds the submit-or-keep calculations and the submission planner. Slabmint Collector is $6.99 per month, $29.99 per year with a 7-day free trial, or $59.99 once for lifetime access. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
