About
Echelon Remote puts the Echelon Audio plugins running on your Mac onto your iPad or iPhone. It is a second screen for the rack you already own. It is not a new rack. THE PLUGIN'S OWN PANEL, FULL SIZE Tap Open Plugin and the iPad shows that plugin's real interface. Each plugin serves its own panel to the iPad, so what you see matches the version installed on your Mac. The app bundles no copies of the panels, so an updated plugin needs no app update. QUICK CONTROLS, CHOSEN BY THE PLUGIN Each plugin picks its own quick controls: the big knob, the four beside it and the switches that matter. The values read exactly as they do on the Mac, including units. If a control does nothing in the current mode, it is greyed out and the reason is shown, for example "Auto Release is adapting the release to the material". A greyed-out control never secretly still works. AUTOMATION THAT RECORDS CLEANLY Every move from the glass is sent as a proper touch gesture: it starts when your finger lands, updates while it moves and ends when it lifts. Touch and latch automation passes record your move the same way as a mouse drag on the Mac. The plugin refuses any write that isn't wrapped in a gesture, so a half-finished move can't be recorded. EVERY INSERT, GROUPED BY TRACK Each instance shows up under the track name from your DAW. Move between inserts without walking back to the desk. Up to 64 Echelon instances per Mac can be reached at once. PAIR ONCE PER MAC Enter the six-digit code shown on your Mac one time. The pairing belongs to that Mac, not to one plugin, so reopening your DAW or adding an instance doesn't ask for a code again. The pairing token is kept in the iOS Keychain and never goes into a URL. LOCAL NETWORK ONLY The app finds your plugins over Bonjour on your own network and talks straight to your Mac. It doesn't connect to the internet. It has no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. If your router blocks Bonjour, the app tries the last Mac it reached. HONEST BY DESIGN Nothing on screen moves unless it reflects a real value from your session. There are no fake meters and no demo wiggle. If the connection drops, the controls pause and the app says so. It won't show values that have gone stale. WHAT YOU NEED • A Mac running Echelon Audio plugins, updated to a build with Remote support through the Echelon Audio Hub • Your iPad or iPhone on the same network as the Mac (the Mac can be on Ethernet) • A DAW, or a plugin's Standalone app Echelon Remote is free. It controls plugins you already have installed and licensed on your Mac. It unlocks nothing and sells nothing. A/B, SNAPSHOTS AND PRESETS Store two versions of a plugin and flip between them. Save a snapshot of one track or the whole session and bring it back later. Load each plugin's own factory and user presets from the glass.Read more
