About

Keep the land dry. Polder Watch is a calm but cunning tower defence game set on the reclaimed farmland of the Low Countries. Tides, ripples and surges push in along the canals, muskrats burrow through the dykes and autumn gales roll in from the sea. Your job is to hold the pump house. BUILD THE WORKS Place seven kinds of water works on a hand-drawn isometric diorama. Windmills pump steadily, reed beds slow the water down, terrier kennels see off muskrats, dykes push tides back and strengthen their neighbours, sluice gates release a heavy rush, beacons spot big surges early and steam pumps never tire. Upgrade each work from wind to steam to diesel. TAP, DRAG AND PINCH Tap a work and tap a meadow, or drag it straight from the tray onto the field. Pan and pinch to look round the polder, and tap a work to see its range, upgrade it or sell it. Call the next tide early for bonus guilders when you feel confident. TWELVE POLDERS, FOUR SEASONS Travel from the first mill polders of the 1600s to the great twentieth-century reclamations. Every polder has its own canal layout, its own season and its own mix of tides. Spring meadows, summer tulip rows, autumn gales and frozen winter channels all play differently. STORM SEASON Held a polder? Try its storm season: endless waves that keep getting stronger. See how many you can weather and beat your personal best. LASTING PROGRESS Earn stars and florins, open the daily tide chest, climb the captain ranks and fund lasting improvements at the Water Board. Unlock sailcloth patterns for your windmills and collect 25 honours. A FIELD GUIDE TO THE WATER The almanac explains every work and every tide, tells the story of how the land was drained and explains the old water words in plain English. POSTCARDS FROM THE DYKE Every defence prints a postcard of your own polder with your captain name on it. Save it to your photos or share it. Add a captain portrait with your camera or from your photo library. MADE WITH CARE - Adaptive layouts for iPhone and iPad, in portrait and landscape - Day and night appearance - Sound effects, gentle wind music and haptics, each with its own switch - Optional tide reminders - Available in 50 languages - No ads, no accounts, no tracking.
