About
Faience Pomander is a calm tile-matching solitaire set in an old orangery. Glazed faience tiles, hand-painted in cobalt, lie stacked in layers on a stone bench. Take away pairs of matching open tiles until the bench is clear and a band of sunlight sweeps across it. A tile is open when nothing rests on top of it and its left or right side is free. Plan which stacks to open first, pick up a pair, and watch the panel slowly unfold. SIX GLASSHOUSES, 72 PANELS Walk through Seedling House, Citrus House, Blossom House, Winter House, Vine House and the great Palm House. Every house brings one new idea: • Tall stacks up to five layers high • Blossoms — any two flowers make a pair • Frosted tiles that hide their motif until they open • Tendrils that hold a tile to its root • Bridge tiles resting across two stacks Every panel is built so a way through always exists, and each clear earns up to three sprigs. MORNING ROUND One fresh panel every day, the same for every player on that date. Keep your streak alive and fill a calendar wall of the last four weeks. LONG GALLERY An endless walk from hall to hall, each a little taller than the last. No hints here — carry up to three re-lays and see how far you get. PATTERN BOOK 32 painted motifs — Seville orange, bergamot, quince, fig, pineapple, loquat, watering can, bee skep, jasmine, camellia and more — each with a short botanical note. Motifs move from sketched to glazed to signed as you match them. 12 GLAZES Earn new tile glazes: Delft Cobalt, Iznik Border, Willow Rim, Frost Crackle, Palm Fan, Apricot Glaze and others, each with its own painted ornament. YOUR KEEPSAKE TILE Take a photo of a plant, a harvest bowl or your windowsill — or choose one from your library — and see it fired into a tile in Delft Wash cobalt. It rests on your windowsill, in your journal and on every cleared panel. MADE FOR CALM PLAY • Undo without limits, safe hints and a re-lay when you are stuck • No timers pushing you — time is only recorded • Tin Glaze light theme and a Night House dark theme • Full VoiceOver support with an Open Tiles rotor, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion • Plays fully offline on iPhone and iPad • No ads, no purchases, no accounts, no trackingRead more

- Version 1.1First seen · 29 Sept 2026
A quieter morning and a few new touches in the glasshouse: • Morning Round reminder — pick a time and get a gentle note when today's panel is laid out. If your streak is about to end, a second note arrives in the evening. Turn it on in Settings. • Auto-pair — when a tile has only one open partner, a single tap takes the pair. Find it in Settings → Board. • Share your cleared panel — send a card with your sprigs, time and keepsake tile straight from the Panel Cleared screen. Also in this update: bug fixes, smoother performance and small improvements throughout.
