Intika lets you learn one phrase in many languages (11 for now) side by side, seeing and hearing them at the same time. Languages: Japanese, English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Filipino, Nepali, Burmese, Thai, Chinese (Simplified) and Korean More languages are on the way. "Inti" means "sun" in Quechua. WHAT YOU CAN DO • 121 phrases: greetings, courtesy and basic replies, introducing yourself, keeping a conversation going, directions, health and emergencies, food, shopping, feelings, time, and romance • Pick as many languages as you like and see the same phrase in each • Play every phrase at normal speed or slowly • Romanization for Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Burmese, Nepali and Korean (can be turned on and off) • Listening quiz: hear a phrase and pick its meaning; phrases you miss come back for spaced review • Letter charts for Thai, Burmese, Nepali (Devanagari) and Korean (Hangul): tap a letter to hear it • The app's menus and explanations can be shown in any of the 11 languages. FREE AND PAID • Free: the 22 phrases in "Greetings" and "Courtesy & basic replies" (every language) and all letter charts • A one-time purchase unlocks every category, including Romance. Phrases and languages added later are included at no extra cost. GOOD TO KNOW • The audio is synthesized speech made with Microsoft Azure. It is built into the app, so it plays without an internet connection. • Some translations are AI translations that native speakers are still reviewing.
