About
Catalog Search is for people who work across many manufacturers' catalogs. Architects, interior and product designers, MEP engineers, and construction, estimating, and sales staff can find the right page in many catalogs and compare products side by side, fast. Import your PDF catalogs, type the words and numbers you normally use, and jump straight to the matching pages. Compare up to three pages side by side, even across manufacturers. ■ Who it's for ・Architects selecting building materials, furniture, lighting, and fixtures ・Interior designers and product designers ・MEP engineers working on HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems ・Construction managers, estimators, and sales staff who check specifications ■ Key features [Cross-catalog search] ・Full-text search across all imported catalogs at once ・Works with Japanese, English, and Chinese catalogs. Search by model number or value (e.g., 22.4kW, W1800) ・A synonym dictionary bridges industry terms and catalog wording (e.g., outdoor unit / condensing unit). Add your own ・Type a manufacturer or product name to narrow results to matching catalogs [Compare across manufacturers] ・Long-press a result and choose "Add to Compare" to view up to three pages side by side ・Zoom and turn pages in each independently to compare dimension and spec tables ・On iPhone, swipe left and right to compare [Ranking that puts the right page first] ・On import, the app reads each catalog's table of contents and index tabs and assigns every page to a chapter. Pages in the chapter you're looking for rank above accessory and installation chapters ・Page headings and number-rich specification pages are weighted higher [Comfortable viewing] ・Two-page view shows information-rich spreads at once ・Jump to any page from thumbnails ・Pin pages you check often and open them right from the top of the search screen [Bookshelf] ・Browse covers on a bookshelf and sort by name, date added, or last opened ・Results are grouped by catalog. Open from the cover or jump straight to the matching page ・Search suggestions from your history, and recent searches grouped by Today, This Week, and more ■ Importing ・Import whole folders from the Files app (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, and more) ・Catalogs are stored on your device, so they work even without a signal ・When a catalog is revised, rescan the folder to replace it with the new edition ■ Import time ・The app reads every page and builds an index during import, so large collections can take several hours ・Keep the app open and your device charging. The screen won't auto-lock during import ・Each catalog becomes searchable as soon as it's done. If you close the app, importing resumes next time ■ Recommended devices ・For large collections, we recommend an iPad Pro or iPad Air with M1 or later. The app also works on iPhone and other iPads, though importing may take longer ■ Privacy ・Your catalogs and search terms are never sent anywhere. All processing happens on your device ■ Please note ・Download catalog PDFs yourself from each manufacturer's website. No catalogs are included in the app ・PDFs must contain text. Scanned, image-only PDFs can't be searched ・Imported catalogs use storage space on your device ・Change the app's display language in Settings (Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese) ■ Pricing ・Tap "Try Free for 14 Days" to use every feature free for 14 days. The remaining days are shown in the app ・After the trial, all features, including search, viewing, and comparison, become unavailable. Your imported catalogs and index stay on your device for use after purchase ・To keep using the app, buy the one-time Full Version in the app. After one purchase, there are no additional charges ・This is not a subscription.
