About

Onset logs a migraine in two taps, stays dark so it doesn't hurt to look at, and keeps everything on your phone. Free. No subscription, no trial, no account, no ads. Nothing sold to anyone. TWO TAPS, THEN PUT THE PHONE DOWN Open the app, tap how bad it is. That's the whole thing. It saves straight away — no forms, no wizard, no thirteen screens to fill in while you can barely look at the screen. Everything else is optional and can wait until you feel human again. AIR PRESSURE, FROM YOUR OWN IPHONE Turn it on and Onset notes the reading from your iPhone's built-in barometer each time you log. Your report shows the pressure when pain started, the pressure the rest of the time, and how often it had fallen or risen in the hours before. No weather service and no location — the reading never leaves your phone. It shows what happened; it never forecasts. BUILT TO BE USED DURING AN ATTACK Warm and dark, with no blue light and no animation anywhere. Large text and thumb-sized buttons. Designed for the worst moment, not the calm one. THE THINGS OTHER APPS MISS • Aura, prodrome and postdrome — log a bad day with no pain at all • Constant or vestibular migraine — record a daily level instead of a start and end time • Attacks that don't end neatly — nothing is ever force-closed • Backdating — log yesterday, or last week, any time A PAGE FOR YOUR DOCTOR Headache days per month. Medication days per drug. How long attacks last, how bad they were, what you logged alongside them, and the air pressure. Export it as a PDF and hand it over. Counts only. The app never tells you what caused anything. MEDICATION, COUNTED HONESTLY Track what you take and see how many days a month you've used it, against published guideline figures for medication overuse. Preventives are never counted towards overuse — they're meant to be taken every day. YOUR DATA IS YOURS Everything is stored on your device. There is no account, no analytics, and no third party receives anything. Export it all as a CSV whenever you like. Onset records what you tell it. It does not diagnose, predict or treat migraine, and it is not medical advice. If a headache is sudden and severe, or comes with weakness, confusion or a stiff neck, contact a doctor or emergency services.Read more
