About
ChicagoCurb is an independent project. It is not affiliated with the City of Chicago, any ward office, or any paid-parking operator. Chicago posts its parking rules one sign at a time, and you usually read them in the dark with the engine running. ChicagoCurb puts them on one map. Tap a block and see whether it is residential permit parking, whether it is metered, and when the street sweeper is coming. WHAT IT SHOWS • Residential permit zones — the zone number and the address range for each side of the street, so you can tell which curb your sticker actually covers. • Metered blocks — where paid parking applies. • Street sweeping — the schedule for every ward and section, listing only the dates still to come this season. REMINDERS THE EVENING BEFORE Turn on a reminder for a sweeping zone and your phone alerts you at 7 pm the night before, while there is still time to move the car. Reminders are scheduled on the device from data the app already carries: no account, no sign-in, and nothing about you sent anywhere. One tap in the list turns a zone back off. SEARCH THAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE Type an address and jump to the block. The address index ships inside the app, so what you type is matched locally and never leaves the device. WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL The map, the parking data and the search index are all bundled in the app. In a parking garage or a dead spot, everything still opens; only the grey background map needs a connection. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM The City of Chicago's open data portal — permit segments, street centerlines and street-sweeping schedules — normalized and aligned to the street, block by block. WHAT IT IS NOT This is not a legal source and it is not a substitute for the sign at the curb. Coverage and accuracy are best-effort, and posted signs always win. If a citation is issued, the authority is the City of Chicago, not this app. NO ACCOUNTS, NO ADS, NO TRACKING There is no login, no usage analytics and no advertising. Your location is used only to move the map, only when you tap the locate button, and it never leaves your phone. If the app saves you a ticket, there is an optional tip inside. It is not required and it unlocks nothing — everything in ChicagoCurb is free. The same map is free on the web at chicago-parking-finder.pages.dev.Read more

WHAT IT SHOWS
• Residential permit zones — the zone number and the address range for each side of the street, so you can tell which curb your sticker actually covers.
• Metered blocks — where paid parking applies.

REMINDERS THE EVENING BEFORE
Turn on a reminder for a sweeping zone and your phone alerts you at 7 pm the night before, while there is still time to move the car. Reminders are scheduled on the device from data the app already carries: no account, no sign-in, and nothing about you sent anywhere. One tap in the list turns a zone back off.
SEARCH THAT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Type an address and jump to the block. The address index ships inside the app, so what you type is matched locally and never leaves the device.
WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL
The map, the parking data and the search index are all bundled in the app. In a parking garage or a dead spot, everything still opens; only the grey background map needs a connection.
WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM
The City of Chicago's open data portal — permit segments, street centerlines and street-sweeping schedules — normalized and aligned to the street, block by block.
WHAT IT IS NOT
This is not a legal source and it is not a substitute for the sign at the curb. Coverage and accuracy are best-effort, and posted signs always win. If a citation is issued, the authority is the City of Chicago, not this app.
