About

The Cyprus Brief gathers the Cyprus papers you actually read into one list, in Greek or English, and gets out of the way. - One list, or one paper at a time. Follow as many of the sixteen sources as you like. They arrive together, newest first, and a swipe of the pill at the top moves between them. - Read the story, not the page. Reader view strips an article down to its words. Ad and tracker blocking is on by default and refuses requests before they leave your phone. - Listen instead. Any story can be read aloud in the language it was written in, Greek included, a sentence at a time, at whatever speed suits you. - Ready before you need it. The newest stories are fetched quietly in the background, so they open in a tunnel, on a plane, or anywhere with no signal. - Only what you want. Mute a word and stories mentioning it never appear. Watch a word and they are gathered in one place and marked wherever they show up. - One story, not six. Cyprus is small and its papers run the same press release within the hour. The app gathers those copies behind whichever ran it first and names the rest underneath. - Made to be lived in. Fourteen themes, light and dark. Fourteen typefaces, all of which read properly in Greek. A weather reading at the top. A daily reminder, if you want one, at an hour you choose. - No account, no analytics, no server. There is nothing to sign into and nothing to collect. What you read, what you save and what you set stay on your phone.
