Project SID

Project SID turns a tutoring lesson into a game the whole room plays together. The tutor sets up a round and puts it on the big screen. Children join on their own tablets with a code, pick a name, and play as a team. Afterwards the tutor gets a report on every child. WORD MINER Children trace words on a shared letter grid and race their team deeper into the mine, from the Coal Tunnel down to the Diamond Depth. Every word is checked against a dictionary we have filtered for the classroom. Wrong guesses cost nothing, so children can experiment freely. Team scores are worked out per child, so a team of two can beat a team of four. There is no speed bonus, because slower readers should not be punished for reading carefully. BUILT FOR A REAL CLASSROOM - Children join in seconds with a code, or by scanning a square on the tutor's screen - Four mines for different year levels, from 4x4 boards up to 8x8 - Two to five teams, with hard limits so nobody is left out - The tutor controls the round and can end it at any time - Everything runs live, so the big screen and every tablet stay in step THE REPORT IS THE POINT The game collects the data. After every round a tutor can see which words each child found, how long their words were, and in a lesson round exactly which target words the class missed. That last one is the teaching signal: a word most of the class missed is the word to teach next. NO ACCOUNTS FOR CHILDREN Children never create an account, never enter an email, and never type free text. They pick a name from a list we provide and an emoji. Nothing about a child is shared with anyone, there is no advertising, and there is no tracking. Project SID is made by Schoolola for its tutoring centres. Staff accounts are created by the centre, so you will need one to host a round.
