Ouistiti Maths, the app that makes times tables fun. Four monkeys, four ways to learn, and an adventure of forty islands to conquer. Your child practises times tables and mental arithmetic without quite noticing — ten questions at a time, one round a day. FOUR WAYS TO PLAY • Learn — Milo reads the table out loud, line by line. No questions, just the table to listen to and look at. • Practise — ten questions, no timer, at your own pace. Three stars to win. • Nino's Challenge — timed, against your own record. 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes, on the operations and tables you pick. • Mental maths — fill-in-the-blank sums, as many as you can before time runs out: 7 × ? = 21, find the missing number. All four operations mixed together, over 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes, with results up to 20, 50 or 100. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division: all four operations, tables 1 to 10, always whole numbers, never a remainder. AN ADVENTURE AROUND THE WORLD Ten levels, four islands each, a boss at the end of every one. Forty real islands of the Earth, from Corsica to Greenland and from Tahiti to Okinawa, grouped into ten regions: the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Polynesia, the Indian Ocean, South-East Asia, the North Atlantic, Japan, the British Isles, Oceania, and the great islands of the world. Conquering an island takes a flawless round, in under three seconds per answer. Beating a boss takes a flawless round across every table of the level. AN ATLAS TO EXPLORE Every island has its own page: its area, its territory, the sea around it, its rank among the forty, and the island closest to it in size. Its satellite map opens full screen, and the app can even tell you how far away it is. A little guessing game — which one is bigger? — is tucked into every page. A HUNDRED MEDALS AND A FLAME A hundred medals in six families: streaks, flawless rounds, stars, islands conquered, bosses beaten, operations mastered. Stars for every table, a daily goal, and a flame that keeps growing as long as you play at least one round a day. LEADERBOARDS UNDER A NICKNAME Five boards: stars, medals, streak, sums this week, mental maths. Every player appears under a nickname drawn at random when the profile is created, never under a real name: only the nickname and the scores are shown. The nickname can be changed at any time from the profile. BY VOICE OR BY KEYPAD Your child can answer out loud: recognition runs on the device, and nothing is recorded or sent. The microphone is off by default, and the keypad is always there. STATS FOR PARENTS The Stats tab brings together the current streak, accuracy, time spent per day, records (best streak, adventure, Challenge, mental maths), accuracy table by table and the list of sums worth revisiting. OUISTITI PRO The tables, mental arithmetic, the leaderboards and the first three levels of the adventure are free, with no time limit. Ouistiti Pro opens the seven levels that follow, lets you set up several children on the same iPhone, and unlocks free-text nicknames. Monthly, yearly, or once and for all. WHAT THERE ISN'T No ads. No account to create. No collecting your child's real name. Progress, profile and settings sync over iCloud from one device to the next, and the daily reminder can be set to the time and days that suit you.
