About
Mathmellow is calm maths practice for children aged 4 to 10. No countdowns, no time limits, no "game over": a wrong answer gets a gentle wiggle and another go, whenever your child is ready. Confidence first, speed never. COMPLETELY FREE, GENUINELY PRIVATE • No ads and no in-app purchases • No accounts, no sign-in, no email address • No analytics, no tracking, no data collection • Works offline: the app never connects to the internet Everything your child does stays on your device. EIGHT ACTIVITIES, ONE TAP APART • Count: how many dots (or apples, strawberries, bananas)? • Find: which group shows this number? • Adding, Subtracting, Times and Dividing: one table per level, in order • Mixed: every question is a different operation • Missing number: 14 + ? = 28 DESIGNED AROUND HOW CHILDREN LEARN MATHS • Made for children who can't read yet: big buttons, a colour for each activity, and every question read aloud • Quantities appear in rows of five, so children learn to see "five and some more" instead of counting one by one • Tables run in order, which builds pattern-spotting and counting on. A "mix it up" switch shuffles them for older children who are ready for recall practice • Fix-ups quietly collects the questions your child got wrong and replays only those, until every one is cleared UP TO FOUR CHILDREN, EACH WITH THEIR OWN PROGRESS Every child has their own name, animal avatar, age, levels, treat jar and fix-ups. Age sets the difficulty and decides which activities appear: younger children get counting and number-finding, older ones get mixed operations and missing numbers. A CALM VOICE IN NINE LANGUAGES English, Română, Français, Deutsch, Español, Italiano, Polski, Nederlands and Português. Questions and praise are spoken by the voices already on your iPhone or iPad, and you can hear each one before you choose. For a more natural sound, download a free Enhanced or Premium voice in Settings; the app shows you where. REWARDS THAT ARE JUST REWARDS Finish a level and pick a treat for the jar. No streaks to protect, no notifications, no leaderboards, nothing to buy. Grown-ups can swap the sweets for fruit. GROWN-UP SETTINGS, BEHIND A PARENTAL GATE Open them by answering a two-digit multiplication. Choose the voice and language, sound effects, dots or fruit, shuffled tables, 2, 3 or 4 answer choices, and each child's age. Add or remove players, reset levels or empty the jar. Older children can have an optional count-up timer; it stays off unless you switch it on, and it never counts down. Landscape, on iPhone and iPad. Offline. Free. Made for children, not for advertisers.Read more
