About

Your engine uses oil between changes. Car Ledger works out how much — liters per 1,000 km — and tells you when the next top-up is due. When that figure starts climbing, the app says so, and puts the old number next to the new one. Most service apps log an oil change and stop there. This one logs the top-ups in between, because that is where a tired engine shows its hand. Each time you add oil, you note the date, the mileage and the amount. From that the app calculates consumption, draws it as a chart, and compares the recent figure with the earlier one. A car that used half a liter per 1,000 km last spring and uses three quarters now is telling you something, and now you have the number to take to the garage. Once you are logging oil, most of the car's history is already there. SERVICE HISTORY Log every job by category with date, mileage and cost. Records are grouped by year with a total for each year, and you can search them or filter by category. Attach photos to any job: the receipt, the old part, the worn tire. A job can carry any date, so the record can start well before the app did. FUEL Record fill-ups with liters, price and station. Between full tanks the app calculates real consumption and shows it per fill-up and as a trend, along with cost per distance. REMINDERS Set a reminder by distance, by date, or both. A distance reminder is projected onto a calendar date using how far you actually drive per day, so you see days left as well as distance left. Notifications come a week ahead and on the day. Mark one done and it turns into a service record. A one-tap typical set fills in the common intervals. SPENDING A chart of what the car costs: one month day by day, six months, a year, or a range you pick. Maintenance and fuel are shown separately, with totals. DOCUMENTS AND PHOTOS Keep manuals, registration and insurance, receipts, photos and anything else, per vehicle. Import any file and open it in one tap. Each car also has a photo album, and every photo can carry its own comment. NOTES AND WARNINGS Write notes, and record a dashboard warning with its fault code. Mark it resolved when it is fixed. WHEN YOU SELL Generate a PDF service history: a title page with the car's details, a summary of the figures, then every job by date, mileage and cost. That is the document a buyer asks for. Export service, fuel and oil as CSV. A full JSON backup includes photos and documents, and restores them. SHARE A CAR One car, two phones. Share a car with someone else — a spouse, a co-owner — by inviting them by Apple ID, e-mail or phone. That car and its full history appear on their own iPhone, and both of you keep it up to date from your own device: invite them view-only or able to add and edit, and the car's change log shows who changed what. It all goes through iCloud between your accounts; remove anyone or stop sharing whenever you like. MORE THAN ONE CAR Keep several vehicles, each on its own card with a color or a photo, plate, VIN, year and mileage. UNITS AND LANGUAGE Kilometers or miles. Liters, US gallons or UK gallons. L/100 km, km/L or mpg. Quarts for oil. Pick your currency. English, Russian and Ukrainian, switchable inside the app. Light, dark or automatic appearance. Everything is kept on your iPhone and, if the phone is signed in to iCloud, in your own iCloud as well, so a new phone picks it up and your own iPhone and iPad show the same records. No sign-up, no account with us, no server of ours: the app talks to nothing but iCloud.Read more
