GetaBite: Eat Vegan Anywhere

GetaBite reads restaurant menus and shows you what you can eat. Google Maps tells you a restaurant exists. It doesn’t tell you what’s on the menu for you. GetaBite is building the map that does, so you can decide where to go and what to order before you leave. HOW IT WORKS Take a photo of the menu, up to six pages at once. In about half a minute you get the vegan and vegetarian dishes, grouped and with prices. Dish names stay exactly as the menu writes them, in whatever language that is. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT KNOWS No app can confirm a dish is vegan from a menu. GetaBite tells you where every answer comes from: • Labeled on the menu: the restaurant marks it vegan or vegetarian. • Probably: read from the dish name. Worth a quick question. • Ask: it depends on an ingredient the menu doesn’t mention, and GetaBite tells you what to ask about. SEARCH FOR THE DISH, NOT JUST THE RESTAURANT Type a dish, a neighborhood or a place, like “vegan burger” or “Prenzlauer Berg”. Every scan adds a menu to the map for the next person. The map starts in Berlin and grows wherever people scan. SHARE WHAT YOU FOUND Turn any result into a clean receipt-style image and send it to whoever you’re eating with. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. GetaBite never stores your menu photos. Your location is used once to find nearby places, then discarded. No ads, no tracking. GetaBite is free.
