About
Grapeva Forge is a precision bench instrument for anyone who applies and tests water-repellent coatings on real surfaces. Point it at a panel, pick a finish, and watch live physics compute your contact angle, roll-off tilt, and drop profile the moment you move a slider. The core engine runs genuine surface science — Wenzel and Cassie-Baxter contact angle models, the Furmidge roll-off relation, and a Weber-Reynolds splash classifier — so every readout is grounded in measurement, not guesswork. Choose from ten surface panels spanning metal, glass, textile, timber, ceramic, and leather, then pair them with eight proven finishes from hard paste wax to fluorocarbon aerosol spray. Adjust liquid type, drop volume, temperature, and tilt angle; the bench reclassifies instantly into one of three plain verdicts: Beads, Clings, or Soaks. When you are ready to proof a panel, the guided Proofing Run walks you through each application step, captures before-and-after patch photos, and generates a Coating Test Card — a shareable record of the substrate, finish, measured contact angle, shed class, cure date, and the week you should re-treat. All records stay in the app and can be swiped away when no longer needed. Splash Lab rounds out the toolkit: enter drop diameter and fall speed to get the Weber number, Reynolds number, and splash parameter K, with the impact regime resolved to Spread, Crown, Rebound, or Fingering alongside a fault-pattern gallery showing what each failure looks like on the surface.Read more
