About
Verselal Orbit is the complete setting-out bench for hieroglyphic inscription work — a precision tool that brings the discipline of ancient Egyptian stone-carving into a modern, fully offline workflow. Build a panel on the Compose bench: choose signs from the hieroglyph chest, set your module size in millimetres or Egyptian digits, pick a reading scheme and cut profile, select a period chisel, and the quadrat engine packs your signs, measures the narrowest internal detail, checks shadow cast against sun altitude, and delivers a clear verdict — Sets, Crowded, or Detail Lost — together with a precise fault list if anything is off. The reference library covers every layer of the craft: 24 vector-drawn uniliteral signs trayed by footprint class, 9 period surfaces from a Tura-limestone doorway jamb to a blue-faience tile, 5 cut profiles from sunk relief to inlay cell, 9 period carving tools, and 8 ancient mineral pigments with period use notes. The Rubbings camera lets you photograph a real inscription — a jamb, a lintel, a stela — and tag each quadrat until the line reads back as a transcription you can open on the bench. Every panel you save carries its true-scale miniature, full computed figures, pigment swatch, and panel notes. Verselal Orbit runs entirely without a network connection, accounts, or subscriptions. Whether you are a practicing carver, an Egyptology student, or a researcher working from rubbings, Verselal Orbit is the only tool built to the actual physical constraints of carving hieroglyphs into period materials.Read more
