About
Gather round. Everyone plays. Circle of Joy is five Bahá'í games for a gathering — a study circle, a devotional, a family evening, a junior youth group. One phone opens the room. Everyone else points their camera at a code and plays on their own phone, in the browser they already have. Nothing to install for guests, no accounts, no sign-in. THE FIVE GAMES • Question Quiz — A question goes up and everyone answers on their own phone. The answers are numbered and shuffled for each player, and the source appears with every answer. • Virtues Charades — One person acts out a virtue; everyone else types their guess. Nobody has to talk over anyone, and the quietest person in the room gets their turn. • Clue Detectives — Everyone holds a different clue. Read yours out, talk it over, and put one answer on the table together. • Passage Builder — A passage arrives with its words scattered. Put it back in order — the closest thing here to learning by heart. • Consultation — Four things a community might really talk about. The room chooses one, quietly and together, and the conversation is the game. No score, no winner. WHAT'S INSIDE • Over 3,200 questions, words, puzzles and passages, from the Bahá'í Writings, Bahá'í history and the Ruhi Institute's books • English and Arabic, each with its own content — the Arabic was written in Arabic, not translated, and the whole app reads right to left • Every quotation names its source • For children, junior youth and adults; choose the topics and the length; play in teams, or take a seat yourself and play on your own NO INTERNET, AND NOTHING LEAVES THE ROOM The room runs on your own Wi-Fi or your phone's hotspot, and works in a hall with no signal. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising. The only thing the app ever sends is a problem report, and only when you press Send. Names and photos stay on the host's phone while the room is open, and go when it closes. ONE SUBSCRIPTION, FOR THE HOST Only the person hosting subscribes. Everyone else in the room plays for nothing. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel them in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Circle of Joy is an independent app made by Bahá'ís for their communities. It is not published by, endorsed by or affiliated with any Bahá'í institution.
