From there, three simple tools help you act. **CALL** Emergency numbers are not the same everywhere. MaydaySOS automatically gives you the number designed to get an ambulance moving where you are. It may be 112 in one country, 1669 in Thailand, 15 in France, or 118 in Italy. Every emergency number in MaydaySOS is researched against official sources, so you don’t have to search for the right number when something has already gone wrong. One button. The right number for where you are. **PLAY MESSAGE** When you can’t speak the local language, MaydaySOS can speak for you. Tap PLAY MESSAGE and the app delivers a clear emergency message aloud in the local language. It explains that you need help, that the phone is speaking on your behalf, whether you are sick or injured, your age and sex, and your location. Your coordinates are spoken digit by digit, with the hemisphere stated as a word to reduce the risk of a misunderstood negative coordinate. Play it for a bystander. Hold it up for emergency personnel. Or use it to communicate with a dispatcher from another phone. **HOSPITALS** See nearby hospitals immediately, ordered from nearest to farthest. There is nothing to complete and nothing you need to classify before results appear. If you know the type of care you are looking for, you can filter hospitals by: Injury • Heart • Brain • Children • Pregnancy • Poison • Diving **Emergency tools are free.** You do not need to purchase anything to access your location, street address, coordinates, emergency call button, or spoken emergency message. Those tools are always available. **Hospital access when you travel** Hospital databases are available by continent with simple trip passes: 14 days 90 days 365 days Passes do not automatically renew. You will not be charged again when one expires. Purchase another pass while your current pass is active and the additional time is added to the time you already have. Once a continent has been downloaded, its hospital information remains available offline—even when you have no cellular service or internet connection.
