About
When your pattern says "increase 8 stitches evenly across the row," Stitches works out where each one goes and writes out the row for you. It does decreases the same way. Tell it how many stitches you have, how many to increase or decrease, and whether you're knitting flat or in the round. You'll get an evenly spaced row to start from, and you can move any of the shaping to suit the knitting in front of you. GET THE SPACING RIGHT • Decrease with k2tog, ssk or p2tog; increase with M1L, M1R, M1P, kfb, pfb or yo • Working on the wrong side? Pick p2tog, M1P or pfb and you get a WS row with the stitches in between purled • The spacing allows for what each technique uses up: two stitches for a decrease, one for a kfb or pfb, and none for an M1 or yo, which are made between stitches • On a flat row, leave a half-size gap at each end so the shaping sits in the middle, or make every gap the same, edges included MOVE THINGS AROUND • Touch and hold an increase or decrease on the diagram and slide it along a stitch at a time; the stitches on either side give and take • Or tap one and nudge it with the arrow buttons • Lock any that have to stay where they are, then even out the rest around them • Spacing that isn't symmetrical shows up in orange, so you can see when one side has gone lopsided • Tap a gap size under the diagram and every gap that size gets a dot in its own colour • In the round, turn the diagram so your beginning-of-round marker sits at the top, bottom, left or right • The written row changes to match, and you can undo any change READY TO KNIT • Written out the way a pattern would say it: "Increase row (RS): K6, M1L, [k12, M1L] 4 times, k6 (65 sts)." • Show repeats with brackets, parentheses or asterisks, whichever your patterns use • Open the step-by-step list when a long row is more than you want to hold in your head • Send the row to Notes, Messages or wherever you keep your project notes KEEP YOUR PLANS • Save a plan, name it after your project, and come back to it when you reach that part of the pattern • Reopen a saved plan and carry on where you left off, undo history and all • Your plans sync between iPhone and iPad through iCloud A SMALL, QUIET TOOL • Works offline • Full VoiceOver support, diagram included, and text that grows with your text size setting • No account, no ads, no subscription • iCloud is used to sync your plans and nothing else The row after the ribbing, the yoke, the hat crown: wherever your pattern says "evenly," Stitches does the counting, and you get the final say on where the shaping goes.Read more

Tell it how many stitches you have, how many to increase or decrease, and whether you're knitting flat or in the round. You'll get an evenly spaced row to start from, and you can move any of the shaping to suit the knitting in front of you.
GET THE SPACING RIGHT
• Decrease with k2tog, ssk or p2tog; increase with M1L, M1R, M1P, kfb, pfb or yo
• Working on the wrong side? Pick p2tog, M1P or pfb and you get a WS row with the stitches in between purled
• The spacing allows for what each technique uses up: two stitches for a decrease, one for a kfb or pfb, and none for an M1 or yo, which are made between stitches
• On a flat row, leave a half-size gap at each end so the shaping sits in the middle, or make every gap the same, edges included
MOVE THINGS AROUND
• Touch and hold an increase or decrease on the diagram and slide it along a stitch at a time; the stitches on either side give and take
• Or tap one and nudge it with the arrow buttons
• Lock any that have to stay where they are, then even out the rest around them
• Spacing that isn't symmetrical shows up in orange, so you can see when one side has gone lopsided
• Tap a gap size under the diagram and every gap that size gets a dot in its own colour
• In the round, turn the diagram so your beginning-of-round marker sits at the top, bottom, left or right
• The written row changes to match, and you can undo any change
READY TO KNIT
• Written out the way a pattern would say it: "Increase row (RS): K6, M1L, [k12, M1L] 4 times, k6 (65 sts)."
• Show repeats with brackets, parentheses or asterisks, whichever your patterns use
• Open the step-by-step list when a long row is more than you want to hold in your head
• Send the row to Notes, Messages or wherever you keep your project notes
KEEP YOUR PLANS
• Save a plan, name it after your project, and come back to it when you reach that part of the pattern
• Reopen a saved plan and carry on where you left off, undo history and all
• Your plans sync between iPhone and iPad through iCloud
A SMALL, QUIET TOOL
• Works offline
• Full VoiceOver support, diagram included, and text that grows with your text size setting
• No account, no ads, no subscription
• iCloud is used to sync your plans and nothing else
The row after the ribbing, the yoke, the hat crown: wherever your pattern says "evenly," Stitches does the counting, and you get the final say on where the shaping goes.
