About

The Flowergardener is an engaging and fun arcade game for iPhone, for all ages. You play the gardener trying to grow the flowers in her garden. You have to defend the garden against weeds and snails, and watch out that you don't get bird droppings on your head while you work. You make sure the bees get to pollinate and gather pollen for their honey production. The flowers at the back of the bed go to seed, and the seeds blow into your garden. You have to water every one of them until it blooms. And remember to keep the weeds and the snails away with the BioFix sprayer. You work from sunrise to sunset. It sounds easy, but time goes faster than you think. You have three lives ( hearts) in the game. Walk into the weeds, tread on a snail or let the sparrow hit you, and one goes. When the last one goes, the game is over and your score goes on the high score list. Reach the goal three levels in a row and you get a life back, if you have lost one earlier. EVERY THIRD DAY THE SLUGS INVADE The Iberian slugs come in formation, column after column, spitting slime and eating your flowers. The flowers you have planted give you a small barrier, but it does not last long. You have to be quick and take them before they reach your row. For every slug that dies, the rest get faster — the last one moves twice as fast as the first. GOLDEN SEEDS One golden seed a day, and it can only be grown today: bring it into bloom and the streak holds. Three more come down with a star on them, and each of them that blooms sets off a random upgrade — a rain cloud that waters the whole bed at once, a wide spreader that takes the weeds on the neighbouring squares too, one more bee, a ladybug that sweeps the bed clear of snails, or ten more seconds of daylight. A GARDEN THAT LIVES The bees pollinate for bonus points and turn it into honey. Once you have reached the goal five days in a row, a ladybug moves in for good and carries one snail off the bed every single day. Two blue tits live by the birdhouse at the back. At twenty flowers the butterflies arrive; at fifty there are five of them. MADE TO BE PICKED UP AND PUT DOWN • A round takes 60–90 seconds. It fits a bus stop, a queue, a coffee break. • Two thumbs, landscape: the stick walks, the buttons water and spray. • No account, no login, no energy meter, no waiting. • The difficulty follows you. Play well and the pressure rises; struggle and the goal shrinks, so a level is never impossible. • Hand-drawn characters on a real 3D bed, each with its own shadow. • Everything you need to know is a picture and a number, so a four-year-old can follow it — and the points, the streak and the high score list are there for everyone else. SCORES The ten best games on your phone, and a global high score list you can put a nickname on if you want. Without a name you are not on it — that choice is yours. FREE, WITH ADS FlowerGardener is free, and a full-screen ad between some of the levels is what pays for it. That is why the free version needs a connection to start a level. One single purchase removes all the ads for good, and the connection requirement with them, so you can play without coverage while travelling — on the train, or on the plane.
