About
Your life, turned into a grid you can take in at a glance. Span is a minimal life countdown app. Instead of reminding you about deadlines, it turns the abstract idea of a lifetime into grids and numbers that fit on one screen — what has already passed fades out, what is left stays bright, and where you are right now carries a faint glow. Five ways to look at the same life · Months — one cell per month, every month of your life in view · Weeks — one cell per week, fifty-two cells to a year · Days — one cell per day, a long wall of days that scrolls to today · Seconds left — a live number, accurate to two decimal places · Time left — years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds, each on its own line Designed to make time visible · A dark, immersive interface with nothing else in the way · Past, present and future told apart by brightness and a soft glow · A progress bar up top shows how much of your life has gone by · Tap the left or right half of the screen to change views; the dots at the bottom jump straight to any of them Share your progress Long press anywhere to generate a 1080×1920 poster: your title, the remaining number, the full grid or the life bar, and the date it was made. Save it to your photos or send it straight to a friend. Fully offline, no data collected · Nickname, birth date and life expectancy are stored only on your device · No sign-up, no account, no login · No network requests, no analytics, no ad SDKs · Posters leave the app through the system share sheet; nothing is ever uploaded Getting started On first launch, enter a nickname, your birth date and a life expectancy (40–120, default 80). You can change or reset any of it in Settings at any time. The app follows your system language. A life is long, and it is short. Open Span and see how far you have come.Read more
