Towing and Tyre Helper

Know your rig is within its limits before you hit the road. Towing & Tyre Helper checks your tow vehicle and caravan against their compliance-plate limits and works out cold tyre pressures for the weight each tyre is actually carrying. Everything updates live as you type, and everything stays on your iPad. WEIGH IT OR ESTIMATE IT - Scales mode: enter weigh-bridge, professional weights or wheel-scale figures, per wheel and per axle. - Estimate mode: plan a trip before you weigh. Enter your vehicle payload, the caravan load in three zones (forward, over the axles, rear) and your water tank levels. - Tow Ball weight (TBM) can be modelled from the caravan's tare ball weight and where the load sits, or entered straight from a TBM scale. EVERY LIMIT, BOTH HITCH STATES - GVM, GCM, ATM, GTM, front and rear axle limits, Max Towing (Braked) and Max Tow Ball Down Weight. - Ball weight as a percentage of caravan weight, colour-coded green, amber or red. - Hitched and un-hitched are both checked: ball weight is carried onto the rear axle through the towbar, and you are warned if the state you are not looking at is the one over a limit. - Front-axle steering-weight loss warning and rear axle limits. - A colour-coded diagram of the whole outfit shows at a glance what is fine and what is not, including caravan side-to-side and axle-group balance. WHAT-IF PLANNER Slide the ball weight and vehicle payload to see the effect on each axle, hitched and un-hitched, without touching your real figures. TYRE PRESSURES - Cold pressures for the vehicle front, vehicle rear and caravan, worked from the actual load, the tyre's load index and its sidewall maximum. - Expected hot rise, so you can check your pressures on the road. - Adjustments for bitumen, gravel, corrugations, 4WD tracks and sand. - Tyre reader: copy the sidewall text with Live Text, paste it in, and size, load index, speed rating and maximum pressure are filled in for you. RECORDS - Trip & Weight Log: save snapshots of both hitch states and restore any of them later. - One-page A4 report for the glovebox: print it, or save it as a PDF. - Profiles for up to four vehicles and four caravans, with a warning when a figure the results depend on is missing. - Back up to a file or the clipboard, and restore on a new device.
