About
Someone covers your lunch. You get the next round. Three weeks later nobody can remember who's up. Tallypad keeps the score so you don't have to. Add what you lent or borrowed, and each friend carries a running balance until you settle up. SIMPLE BY DESIGN Four screens, no menus to learn. A big keypad for the amount, a tap to say who it was with, and you're done. The save button tells you exactly what you're about to record — "Maya owes $42.50" — so there's no guessing. ONE BALANCE PER PERSON No fiddly per-loan bookkeeping. Every friend has one number: what they owe you, or what you owe them. Settling up is a single tap that wipes the slate, or you can pay off part of it and leave the rest running. MANY CURRENCIES, NEVER CONVERTED Lend euros on holiday and dollars at home, and Tallypad tracks them side by side. It never invents an exchange rate, because a made-up rate turns a real record into a wrong one. Each currency settles on its own. RECEIPTS Attach a photo to any entry, for the times "what was that for?" needs a better answer than memory. SHARE THE RECEIPT, NOT JUST THE TOTAL Send a friend a clean summary showing the balance and every entry behind it, with the reason and date for each. Ends the argument before it starts. A WIDGET FOR THE AWKWARD BIT Keep what you're owed on your home screen, so you remember to ask. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS There is no Tallypad account, no login, and no server. Everything lives on your iPhone. Turn on iCloud sync and it moves between your own devices through your private iCloud database — which belongs to your Apple Account, not to us. We never see any of it, because there is nowhere for it to go. FIXING MISTAKES Tap any entry to change the amount, reason, date or direction. Deleting asks first, and tells you what goes with it. No ads. No analytics. No sign-up. Just a tally.Read more
Someone covers your lunch. You get the next round. Three weeks later nobody
can remember who's up.
Tallypad keeps the score so you don't have to. Add what you lent or borrowed,
and each friend carries a running balance until you settle up.
SIMPLE BY DESIGN
Four screens, no menus to learn. A big keypad for the amount, a tap to say who
it was with, and you're done. The save button tells you exactly what you're
about to record — "Maya owes $42.50" — so there's no guessing.
ONE BALANCE PER PERSON
No fiddly per-loan bookkeeping. Every friend has one number: what they owe you,
or what you owe them. Settling up is a single tap that wipes the slate, or you
can pay off part of it and leave the rest running.
MANY CURRENCIES, NEVER CONVERTED
Lend euros on holiday and dollars at home, and Tallypad tracks them side by
side. It never invents an exchange rate, because a made-up rate turns a real
record into a wrong one. Each currency settles on its own.
RECEIPTS
Attach a photo to any entry, for the times "what was that for?" needs a better
answer than memory.
SHARE THE RECEIPT, NOT JUST THE TOTAL
Send a friend a clean summary showing the balance and every entry behind it,
with the reason and date for each. Ends the argument before it starts.
A WIDGET FOR THE AWKWARD BIT
Keep what you're owed on your home screen, so you remember to ask.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
There is no Tallypad account, no login, and no server. Everything lives on your
iPhone. Turn on iCloud sync and it moves between your own devices through your
private iCloud database — which belongs to your Apple Account, not to us. We
never see any of it, because there is nowhere for it to go.
FIXING MISTAKES
Tap any entry to change the amount, reason, date or direction. Deleting asks
first, and tells you what goes with it.
No ads. No analytics. No sign-up. Just a tally.
