Pip's Island: Calm Maths

Pip's Island is a calm maths companion for children aged 5 to 9. Your child looks after Pip, a small creature who grows as they learn, and builds an island by doing short maths sessions matched to the English National Curriculum, from Reception to Year 5: number sense, addition, subtraction, times tables and division, place value, fractions and shapes. It was built first for children with ADHD and co-occurring autism, dyslexia and dyscalculia, and it is lovely for everyone. A SESSION THAT FITS THE CHILD • Two or three short rounds of four questions: about four to six minutes. • The child chooses one of two activities each round. • Every number is shown as well as written, with counters, bars and ten-frames. • No timer, no fail state, no scores. Progress stones instead. • Stop after the first round and still get full credit. • Rewards you can predict: Pip grows and the island gains treasures. No loot boxes, no random prizes, no ads.
