About
Parkinson Companion is free and works completely offline — built to be used one-handed in the moment that matters, by the carer as much as by the person themselves. No account. No sign-up. No subscription. No signal needed. Open it and it just works, and all data stays private on the phone — nothing is uploaded, tracked, or sold. One tap starts an episode. One tap calls for help. That is the whole point: when things are hard, the app is simple. WHAT YOU CAN TRACK • Episodes — one tap starts the timer. Log the type (tremor, involuntary movements), whether there is pain, and who is present. The start time can be corrected (−5, −15, −30 min), because nobody logs at the exact moment, and an episode started by accident can be cancelled without saving anything. • Medication — your list with doses and, if you want them, dose times. Each dose is recorded at the time it was actually given, not the time it was typed in. If you allow notifications, the app can remind you at each dose time — the reminder is scheduled entirely on the phone, nothing is sent anywhere. • Next dose — with times set, the home screen shows the next dose due and flags overdue ones. • Next appointment — an optional date shown at the top of the doctor report, with a reminder the day before if you allow notifications. • Wellbeing — a quick daily check-in: appetite, mood, pain, sleep, weight, and optional non-motor symptoms (anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, urinary issues, constipation, dizziness on standing) that are easy to forget to mention. • Incidents — falls, near-falls, freezing, choking. • Pouch supply — so a refill is never a surprise. FOR THE DOCTOR The report filters to 7, 30 or 90 days, or the whole history. It shows episode time per day, a trend chart marking treatment changes, medication adherence, time-of-day distribution, delay after medication, and how many episodes happened while the person was alone. It prints to a clean one-page summary (or saves as PDF) for the patient's file, and exports to CSV. CALL FOR HELP An always-visible button calls the partner, the carer, or the emergency services. The emergency number is configurable (112, 999, 911, 15…). FIVE LANGUAGES The app opens in the device's language and can be switched any time in Settings: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. BACKUP The data exists only on this device. Save a backup from Settings and keep the file somewhere else — that is also how you move the history to a new phone. IMPORTANT This app is a tracking diary. It does not diagnose, does not give medical advice, and does not replace a healthcare professional or the emergency services. It does not monitor the person: it cannot detect falls and cannot alert anyone on its own — use the iPhone's or Apple Watch's fall detection for that.Read more

One tap starts an episode. One tap calls for help. That is the whole point: when

WHAT YOU CAN TRACK
• Episodes — one tap starts the timer. Log the type (tremor, involuntary
movements), whether there is pain, and who is present. The start time can be
corrected (−5, −15, −30 min), because nobody logs at the exact moment, and an
episode started by accident can be cancelled without saving anything.

FOR THE DOCTOR
The report filters to 7, 30 or 90 days, or the whole history. It shows episode

while the person was alone. It prints to a clean one-page summary (or saves as

CALL FOR HELP
An always-visible button calls the partner, the carer, or the emergency
services. The emergency number is configurable (112, 999, 911, 15…).
FIVE LANGUAGES
The app opens in the device's language and can be switched any time in Settings:
English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

file somewhere else — that is also how you move the history to a new phone.
IMPORTANT
This app is a tracking diary. It does not diagnose, does not give medical
advice, and does not replace a healthcare professional or the emergency
services. It does not monitor the person: it cannot detect falls and cannot
alert anyone on its own — use the iPhone's or Apple Watch's fall detection
for that.
