Local Subscriptions & Bills

Write down what charges you again, and see it all in one list. Local Subscriptions holds the things that come back around: streaming and apps, bills, insurance, domains and hosting, and free trials about to end. You type each one in yourself. The app shows what they cost each month and each year, what is due next, and can remind you before each date. You never give it your bank details. Adding one A name, an amount, how often it repeats and when it is next due. Repeats can be weekly, monthly, yearly, every so many days, or just once. Notes are there if you want them, and everything saves while you type. What it costs you Weekly, yearly and custom repeats are all worked into one monthly figure and one yearly figure, with a breakdown by kind: subscription, bill, insurance, domain or hosting, free trial, other. Something that happens just once still gets its date and its reminder, but stays out of the totals, since it does not repeat. Coming up The next ten renewals in date order, with the days left and a count of any further out. Anything overdue is labelled. Tap one to open it. Mark as renewed One tap moves the date forward by a step. Monthly and yearly items keep their billing day, so something due on the 31st goes to the 30th in a short month and back to the 31st after. Earlier prices When an amount changes, the old one is kept with the date it changed, so a price rise does not slip by. Reminders Turn them on and iOS asks for permission. Reminders arrive at 9:00 AM your local time, as many days before as you choose, or on the day itself, and they arrive with the app closed. If you travel, they follow your phone's clock. It shows the name, amount and date, and nothing else. iOS keeps up to 64 waiting reminders per app, so Local Subscriptions sets the soonest and adds more whenever you open it. Opening it now and then keeps them topped up. More than one currency When your list uses one currency, the totals are shown in it. If it mixes currencies, the app says so plainly: it adds the numbers as they are and does not convert them, because that would need exchange rates from the internet. Your list, your files Export CSV makes a spreadsheet of everything. Save a backup writes a file you can keep in Files or iCloud Drive, and Restore a backup reads it back on another device, asking before it replaces anything. These are free. Pro The free version keeps up to 3 renewals, with reminders, totals, exports and backups all included. Pro lets you add as many as you like, and comes as a single one-time purchase. Restore purchase switches it on again for a new device, when you are signed in with the Apple Account that paid. Nothing you have already added is ever locked. Privacy Your list lives inside Local Subscriptions on this device. It is not synced, and the app never sends it anywhere, us included, unless you send a file yourself. Nothing to sign up for, and no ads. The one connection the app makes is a check, through a purchase service, on whether Pro is unlocked and what it costs. That check carries an install ID made at random, the vendor identifier iOS assigns and technical details such as your device model, and never your list, notes or reminders. The privacy policy lists each one. Everything else keeps going in Airplane Mode. What it does not do It does not cancel anything, find charges by itself or connect to a bank.
