Heritage Restore

Heritage Restore is an educational and planning companion for everyone who loves old buildings: historic houses, manors, castles, bridges, towers and churches. Learn how conservators inspect, document, repair and preserve historic structures, then plan your own restoration project step by step.! RESTORATION ACADEMY Twelve illustrated lessons explain conservation principles, visual surveys, documentation, lime mortar, brick and stone repair, timber frames, roofs, moisture, plaster and paint, project planning and maintenance. Every lesson ends with a quiz and clearly separates preservation principles from work that needs a licensed specialist.! STRUCTURE INSPECTION Interactive checklists for cracks and movement, damaged masonry, moisture, corrosion, roof problems, wood deterioration and foundation issues. Rate each item as good, monitor or urgent, add notes, link the survey to a project and get a condition score with clear next steps. RESTORATION MATERIALS Profiles of traditional stone, handmade brick, plinth brick, hydraulic lime, lime putty, haired plaster, oak and pine, clay tiles, sheet-iron roofing, wooden shingles, wrought iron, limewash and linseed oil paint, with properties, uses, cautions and indicative prices in hryvnia. RESTORATION PLANNER Create a project, choose the structure type and style, and get a template plan with stages, tasks, materials and cost estimates. Tick off tasks, track budget against spending, add your own tasks and watch stage-by-stage progress. HISTORIC STRUCTURES LIBRARY Explore architectural styles from Byzantine and Gothic to Cossack Baroque, Art Nouveau and Constructivism through real examples: Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle, Pokrovsky Cathedral in Kharkiv, Sharivka Palace, the wooden churches of the Carpathians, Charles Bridge, Notre-Dame and more. BEFORE & AFTER Compare damaged and restored structures with an interactive slider and read how each restoration was carried out. REBUILD MODE A mini-game where you repair foundations, walls, arches, roofs, windows and decorative elements in the correct conservation order. Every step explains why sequence matters.! PHOTO DOCUMENTATION AND PROGRESS Organise before, during and after photos with captions for each project and visualise completed stages and remaining work. CHALLENGES AND ACHIEVEMENTS Missions such as "Repair a Medieval Stone Wall" or "Restore a 19th-Century Wooden House", heritage points and badges keep you learning.! RESTORATION TIPS Short practical notes on techniques, common mistakes and safety. Heritage Restore teaches preservation principles and helps you plan. It does not replace a licensed structural engineer, certified electrician, gas fitter or roofing contractor for safety-critical work, and it reminds you when a specialist is required.
