About

WrenScribe is a private, on-device scribe for provider-patient consultations. It records audio from the built-in microphone, transcribes it in real time, detects standard medical terminology, and builds a reference aid on your iPad: a structured clinical note, action items, term glosses, and suggested billing codes. Everything is generated on your device with local models (Whisper + a small local language model). No cloud. No accounts. Your audio, transcripts, notes, and any saved recordings stay on the device, encrypted at rest behind a 6-digit PIN you set. There is no telemetry, no analytics, and no advertising. WHAT IT DOES - Live transcription with on-device Whisper on Apple Silicon (M-series iPad) - Cleaned transcript, summary, and structured assessment/plan after each visit - Medical term detection with generic, de-identified reference lookups - Suggested ICD-10-CM / CPT / HCPCS codes, always labelled "Suggested — verify before billing" - Optional read-only connector to your practice's own MedPlum FHIR EHR: pull a patient's active problems, current medications, allergies, recent labs, immunizations, procedures, family history, and recent visits as an on-screen reference while you dictate. Off by default. It talks only to the EHR your practice operates, is configured by you, and never writes anything back. - PIN-locked with encryption at rest, plus a non-PHI on-device audit trail - End-of-note phrase: say "end the note" to confirm and finalize a session - Landscape-optimized clinical layout designed for the iPad on the exam room iPad cart After a one-time model download the app works fully offline. For licensed clinicians. Reference aid only - not medical advice. WrenScribe does not diagnose, treat, or direct care, and nothing it produces replaces professional clinical judgment. Verify all output, including suggested codes, before clinical or billing use.Read more
