About

FairPlay Lab is a decision-support toolkit for middle and high school soccer teams. It turns training attendance, session ratings and simple pitch events into substitution suggestions, squad cohesion insights and student-athlete wellbeing support — and it shows its working every time. Every recommendation opens a Why card that lists the factors behind it: attendance, recent effort, minutes already played, and match context. Nothing is a black box, so a coach can disagree with the app and explain why to a player or a parent. For coaches • Build a roster and share a six-character team code so athletes can join • Track training attendance and match minutes • Log passes, shots, take-ons and clearances during a match • Get a recommended minute range for each player, with the reasoning attached • See whether the squad is playing hero-ball or team-ball, and who is involved in build-up • Spot athletes carrying a heavy week across training, sleep and homework • Send a note home or a note to the athlete, written from their own check-ins For players • Join with a code from your coach and pick your name off the roster • See your own recommended minutes and exactly why • Rate how hard each session felt, and log sleep and homework hours • Find the one change that would most reduce your strain this week • See the squad's build-up report Built on arithmetic, not AI FairPlay Lab uses published sports science measures — session-RPE, acute-to-chronic workload ratio, and standard fairness statistics — combined with transparent weights. There is no model to trust on faith. The same inputs always give the same answer, and the app will tell you which input moved it. Privacy Athletes own their own check-ins. Sleep, homework and session ratings are visible only to that athlete and their coach — never to teammates. Any player can leave a team, which deletes their check-ins, or delete their account and all of their data outright. This app stores real information about young people. Get parent or guardian consent before using it with a squad. What this app is not FairPlay Lab does not diagnose injury, predict grades or replace a coach's judgement. The wellbeing features are a prompt for a conversation, not a medical or academic assessment. Substitution suggestions are a starting point; the coach decides.Read more
