About
Reelep is the only app built to plan your anchorage before you drop the hook — not to alarm you after something goes wrong. Enter your depth, tide range, boat dimensions, and the hazards around you, and Reelep shows you exactly how much rode to pay out and whether your swing circle will clear the shoal, the quay, and the neighbour's boat through a full tidal cycle. The heart of the app is a metre-scaled plan canvas. Place your boat and anchor on the water and watch the swing circle draw itself live from your rode length and boat LOA. Add hazards by distance and bearing — any overlap flares red with the exact shortfall in metres. Every calculation runs locally on your device; there is no account, no subscription, and no internet required. The Scope screen computes rode from charted depth, expected tide height, freeboard, and rode type — all chain, chain and rope, or all rope — properly, not by the rough four-times-depth rule. The Tide Run screen plays the night as a scrubbable timeline, naming the worst moment for swing radius and under-keel clearance by the clock. The Holding screen weighs your anchor type and seabed against the wind load on your boat and gives a plain verdict that updates as you sweep the wind speed. Beyond the live calculations, Reelep includes ten anchoring drills with hand-authored scenarios, an anchor catalog covering eight anchor types with recommended seabeds, a twelve-term glossary, and a guided wizard that walks you through a complete berth plan in five questions. Save as many berths as you need — each stores the full plan, your pre-sleep checklist, and an optional transit-mark photo so you know exactly where you are if you wake at three in the morning.Read more
