About
Cellar is a wine cellar you look at, not a list you read. Your bottles stand on shelves, grouped the way you'd group them yourself - reds, whites, bubbles, and below them whisky, gin, rum, agave, brandy and liqueurs. Each shelf is named in large, quiet type above the bottles. Scroll down and you walk the cellar. Photograph a label and the details are read off it for you: producer, wine, vintage, region and grape, filed on the right shelf without you typing a word. The photo becomes the bottle - cut out of its background so your actual bottle stands on the plank, not a snapshot of your kitchen counter. Bottles you haven't photographed are drawn, and drawn accurately: a Barbaresco gets Burgundy shoulders, a Riesling gets a flute, a whisky gets its squat square build with the level showing through the glass. Height, lean and glass colour vary bottle to bottle, so a shelf looks arranged rather than stamped out. A case of six stands as a case of six. Open a bottle for its vintage, region, grape and your own rating and tasting note. Drink one and the count drops. Drink the last and it leaves the shelf. No account. No sign-up. Your cellar is stored on your device.Read more
