About

Isidons Cimpa is a self-contained groundwater simulation lab that runs entirely on your device. Build a layered soil profile from real earth materials, drill wells anywhere in the cross-section, dial in a pump rate, and watch a live finite-difference solver compute exactly how the water table responds. Cones of depression, well interference, and aquitard blocking all emerge from the physics — nothing is scripted. The Cross-Section Lab puts you in front of a full blueprint view of your aquifer: 240 metres wide, 64 metres deep, with hatched strata bands and a live water table polyline. Drag to position a drill marker, set screen depth and pump rate with arc-dial controls, then run a 90-day simulation. The water table updates in real time, Darcy flow-field particles trace the head gradient, and a results dialog reports peak drawdown, total abstracted volume, and a plain-language outcome — sustainable, drawdown warning, or well dry. Build any profile you like in the Strata Composer. Twelve real soil materials range from coarse gravel at 300 m/day hydraulic conductivity to clay aquitard at less than 0.001 m/day. Stack up to 14 layers, set the water table depth, and start drilling. Manage a field of up to 24 wells, study multi-well interference, and review the full 90-day hydrograph with a draggable scrubber at three monitoring points. The Field Log archives up to 60 completed runs, each with an inline sparkline and peak-drawdown summary for quick comparison. The Handbook puts real hydrogeology reference data at your fingertips: hydraulic conductivity, porosity, and specific yield for every material, a drawn Darcy reference diagram, and the exact solver parameters used in every simulation. No sign-in, no subscription, no internet connection required — every calculation runs offline, on device.Read more
