Halal Core

Halal Core is a focused Halal ingredient scanner designed to help you review food, cosmetics, and personal care products with clear, evidence-based results. Scan a product barcode first. If reliable ingredient data is available, Halal Core analyses it immediately. If ingredient data is missing or incomplete, you can photograph the ingredient label and the app will extract and assess the text automatically. Halal Core returns one of three simple results: HALAL — no Haram or source-dependent concerns were detected in the available ingredient evidence. MASHBOOH — ingredient information is ambiguous, incomplete, source-dependent, or requires verification. HARAM — a clearly prohibited ingredient or source was detected. Key features include: Barcode scanning Ingredient-label OCR scanning Automatic ingredient extraction Halal / Mashbooh / Haram assessment Natural flavour and flavouring checks Animal-derived and source-dependent enzyme checks Rennet, gelatin, lipase, pepsin, pancreatin, trypsin, chymosin and related ingredient checks E-number analysis Evidence strength and explanation Ingredient search Halal, Haram and Mashbooh guidance History and favourites Privacy-focused design with no user account, no advertising SDKs and no behavioral tracking Halal Core uses public product databases where available and a secure OCR process for ingredient-label scanning. OCR credentials are kept server-side and are not exposed in the mobile app. Halal Core is an ingredient-information assistance tool and is not a religious certification authority. Product formulations, manufacturing methods, suppliers and certification status can change. When official confirmation is required, verify the product packaging, Halal certification or manufacturer information. Privacy Policy: https://www.pura-lens.com/halal-core/privacy
