About

Seasons Picture Book for Kids is a photo picture-dictionary app for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 1+). Children tap photos of seasons and annual events to hear each name read aloud in Japanese or English. It is the "seasons and events only" book of the Zukan series. ■ 5 chapters, 112 seasonal words Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Celebrations. Cherry blossoms, Hina dolls, carp streamers, fireworks, Tanabata, moon viewing, Halloween, snowmen, Christmas, New Year, bean throwing and birthdays. Each season also includes its flowers, bugs and food, so a child learns what "spring" looks like, not just its holidays. ■ Tap to hear, with sound words Tap a photo to hear its name, and a Japanese sound word pops up in a speech bubble ("hira-hira" for falling petals, "doon!" for fireworks). The あ/A button switches between Japanese and English at any time. ■ "Which one?" quiz Listen to a name, then find and tap it on the page. Wrong answers bring friendly hints, never penalties. ■ Record your child's voice - Listen to the example, then record. Each "I said it!" is saved with your child's age - Voice Album: look back at recordings month by month - My Voice mode: the book reads itself in your child's own voice - Voice Catch: words your child says while playing are captured automatically to keep or discard later ■ Designed with parents in mind - No ads, ever - Recordings stay on the device and are never uploaded (optional iCloud backup can be turned on in settings) - Purchases and settings sit behind a parental gate - Child Mode hides every button until a three-finger double-tap, so little hands can only turn pages - Works fully offline after download - Child profiles keep each sibling's recordings and progress separate ■ Try 1 chapter (25 words) for free Spring is free. Unlock the rest with a monthly plan or a one-time purchase. ■ The Zukan series One theme per app: Animals, Vehicles, Food, Colors and more. Pick the one your child loves right now.
