About

RideTracker turns what your Apple Watch or iPhone feels into a record of how you actually rode. Start the ride on your Watch and put your phone away — or record directly on your iPhone. RideTracker records motion throughout the session, then analyses it afterwards — no timers to start, no gaits to tag, nothing to remember mid-ride. WHAT IT WORKS OUT • Gaits — halt, walk, trot and canter, detected from the horse's rhythm, with the share of the ride spent in each • Transitions — every gait change, counted and placed on the timeline • Cadence — strides per minute at trot and canter • Heart rate — yours, through the ride and broken down by gait (with Apple Watch) • Distance and route — the full GPS track, coloured by the gait you were in • Calories — active energy for the session REPLAY THE RIDE Scrub the whole ride on the map, or play it back at up to 32x. Colour the track by gait, speed or heart rate, and narrow the window to any stretch of it — the distance, average speed and heart rate update to match what you selected. HEART RATE BY GAIT See your heart rate plotted directly against what your horse was doing. Track average heart rate for walk, trot and canter, check how fast you recover in the first minute of walk after each effort, and view your time in each personalised zone. Mark sections on your Watch (or create sections on your phone after the workout) to isolate and compare specific parts of your ride. PHONE RECORDING (PREVIEW) No Apple Watch? Record directly on your iPhone. Clip your phone to your belt at the back of your hip, and RideTracker detects your gaits, cadence, live speed, distance and route. Save the session as your primary workout in Apple Health, or use it as a backup to your Watch. EVERY HORSE SEPARATELY Assign each ride to a horse. Ride counts, saddle time and trends are kept per horse, so a schoolmaster and a green four-year-old never get averaged into one meaningless line. TRENDS Twelve weeks at a glance, compared six weeks against six: rides, saddle time, average heart rate, trot cadence, canter share and transitions per ride — overall and for each horse. ACHIEVEMENTS Milestones for hours in the saddle, rides logged, distance covered, time at trot and canter, and riding partners. Earned by riding, not by opening the app. APPLE HEALTH Rides are written to Health as equestrian workouts, with heart rate and active energy. Health is optional — every ride carries its own totals, so duration, heart rate and calories are there whether you grant access or not. RIDETRACKER+ Everything above is free, for every ride, forever. Recording, analysis, gaits, cadence, GPS, Health and achievements are never limited, and no ride is ever deleted or degraded. RideTracker+ unlocks reading your history beyond the last 30 days, and Trends across the full window. Your older rides stay on your device either way — subscribing brings them back into view immediately. REQUIREMENTS Apple Watch recommended for hands-free recording and heart rate. Rides can also be recorded directly on iPhone in preview mode (clip phone to your belt at the back of your hip). iPhone alone can read and analyse all recorded rides.
