About
Longbow-AR turns your living room into an archery range, and your TV into the target field. There is no controller and nothing to hold. Raise a fist and a bow appears in your hand. Bring your other fist to your cheek to draw, open your hand, and the arrow flies down the range, drops with distance, drifts with the wind and thuds into the target. HOW IT WORKS 1. Put the range on your TV with AirPlay (Control Center, Screen Mirroring) or a USB-C to HDMI cable — or just play on the phone. 2. Stand the phone on the table under the TV, screen facing the room, about a metre off the floor. 3. Step back about three metres so your whole body is in the camera, stand in the box on the screen, and bring your bow hand forward as a fist. That hand is your bow hand for the game. 4. Point that fist at the target and hold still for a moment: your aim is set. 5. Bring your other fist to your cheek to draw. Open your hand to shoot. Lower both hands, then draw again. OPEN RANGE Ten arrows at 18, 25 and 30 metres. Streaks double your points, gold for a bullseye. At the end, your score and every arrow where it landed, drawn on the face. TOURNAMENT Two to nine players, in shooting order. Everyone shoots the round in turn at the same distance; the board updates after every turn and tells the next player to step in; a podium crowns the winner. A PLACE, NOT A SCREEN Photographic mountains and a lake in the late-afternoon light, a wood of scanned trees swaying in the wind, clouds drifting over the ridge, birds crossing the far sky, and a mown fairway under your feet. The light moves on through sunset and dusk as you play. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything happens on your phone. The camera picture is analysed on the phone and never recorded or sent anywhere. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no purchases. Made for iPhone 12 and later. Requires iOS 18. A TV over AirPlay or HDMI is optional.Read more
