KaruPic is a focused image compressor for one simple job: make an image fit under a file-size limit you choose. Pick a preset such as 100 KB, 500 KB, or 1–5 MB, or enter any target from 20 KB to 20 MB. Newly encoded JPEG files do not copy source metadata such as location data. Images already under the selected limit are not recompressed and remain unchanged. If a transparent image exceeds the limit, you can leave it unprocessed or add a white background and create a JPEG. Newly compressed images are standard SDR/sRGB JPEGs for broad compatibility. HDR photos are tone-mapped to SDR and may look less bright than the original in Photos.
