TrainDex UK is a private, offline-first collection for train spotters. Take a photograph or choose one from your photo library, then manually select the operator or railway and class shown in the image. Save first discoveries and repeat spots, track XP and badges, and browse a researched UK reference catalogue. The app includes: • 407 train and railway reference entries at operator, railway and class level. • 2,661 passenger-station reference points. • 140 audited railway-attraction reference points. • Optional Near Me sorting for attractions by straight-line distance from your location. • Local collection statistics, repeat-spot history and share cards that you send only when you choose a system share action. TrainDex UK does not identify photographs automatically. You choose the railway or operator and class yourself. The reference catalogue is researched data, not live fleet certification, live train data, routing or a guarantee that a train, station or attraction is operating today. Map tiles and photos stored in iCloud may need an internet connection. Photograph only from safe, publicly accessible places. Core collection records are kept locally on the device; no account or developer backend is required. Camera, photo-library and location access are optional and are used only when you choose the related feature.
