About

Your family's recipes, kept and cooked from. MealStash is a recipe organizer and meal planner for the recipes that matter: the handwritten cards in the tin, the links you meant to save, the dinners you make every week. Scan them, save them, plan the week, shop one list. SCAN THE HANDWRITING YOU GREW UP WITH Photograph a stained index card, a magazine clipping, a church cookbook page. Apple Vision reads the ingredients, fractions and steps on your device, in your own languages, and keeps the card photo beside the recipe, so the handwriting survives. Anything it was unsure of is flagged for you to check. No image is uploaded. SAVE RECIPES FROM LINKS AND FILES Paste a link and MealStash reads the recipe from the page, or paste the recipe text from a note or a message. Markdown files come in too, one recipe or a whole folder of them, like the recipes an AI assistant writes or a notes app exports. However a recipe arrives, MealStash keeps the ingredients, yields and instructions, and leaves the life story behind. Long runs of directions are broken into shorter steps, and where Apple Intelligence is available your iPhone's own model helps. ARM'S-LENGTH COOKING MODE For messy hands and hot stoves. Cooking Mode shows one step at a time in type you can read across the counter, keeps the screen awake, and brings that step's ingredients up beside it. Recipes made in stages show each stage's name above its steps. LIVE ACTIVITY TIMERS ON IPHONE Run several kitchen countdowns at once without losing your place. Each keeps counting on the Lock Screen, up to five at a time, and on models with a Dynamic Island the next to finish takes the island. MEAL PLANNER & SMART GROCERY LIST Plan the week, Sunday to Saturday, and turn it into one shopping list. An ingredient several recipes call for becomes one line where they measure it the same way, grouped by store section. Pro hands the list to Apple Reminders. RECIPE CARDS & FAMILY COOKBOOKS (PRO) Export press-ready 4×6 index cards with two-column editorial layouts, or compile your library into a cookbook PDF with a cover, contents and chapter dividers. A single recipe can be sent as a file that opens straight into MealStash on another phone. KITCHEN HELP (FREE SAMPLES, FULL LIBRARY WITH PRO) Substitutions, fixes for a split sauce, techniques and reference charts, all inside the app, no connection needed. ZERO-LOGIN SYNC, AND A BACKUP YOU KEEP With iCloud on, recipe text, meal plans and your grocery list sync between your iPhone and iPad through your Apple Account while each is within 512 KB of text (about 100 recipes imported from the web) and all three fit in the 1 MB iCloud gives MealStash. Photos do not sync. No account, no server of ours anywhere. Back the library up to one file with the photos in it, restore it on a new phone, or erase it here and in iCloud; your other devices keep their own copies and can sync them back. Your purchase and any Reminders list stay put. HONEST, SUSTAINABLE PRICING (MEALSTASH PRO) The free tier is genuinely usable and has no ads: 10 saved recipes, 5 filled meal-plan slots and 15 grocery items, with the planner and aisle-sorted grocery list included. Pro lifts every cap and unlocks Reminders sync, sharing and printing a recipe, cookbook export and the full Kitchen Help library. • Monthly: $2.99 / month • Annual: $19.99 / year (7-day free trial for new subscribers) • Lifetime: $49.99 (one payment, never renews) All three support Apple Family Sharing. Recipes you have saved stay readable and cookable even if a subscription lapses. PRIVATE & LOCAL-FIRST Your recipes belong to you. Scanning, parsing, PDF rendering and any Apple Intelligence tidying happen on your device. We do not track you, collect personal data, or sell advertising — there is nowhere for it to go. Recipes whose method comes in stages, like "Make the sauce" and "Assemble", now show each stage's name above its steps: in the recipe, in Cooking Mode, and when you share or print it. Steps are still numbered straight through. Stages come in from recipe websites, Markdown files and pasted text, and in the editor a step that ends with a colon starts a new stage. Undo Restore. Restoring a backup now saves a copy of what is on this device before anything is restored, and until you close the screen, Undo Restore puts that copy back.
