About

HarborHelm is a personal voyage ledger for money that already moved. You keep a harbor chart of inflows and outlays, make savings fast to named moorings, collect marks under voyages, and stand a night watch for rent, dues, and expected pay. It is a private notebook on this iPhone — not a bank, tax tool, investment product, or financial advice. The bridge shows this month’s tide against last month, ballast already stowed, a quiet-water runway drawn from recent living outlays, channel soundings for where money left the hold, and course cues that point you to the next bearing. A six-month tide staff compares inflow and outlay without a generic office chart. Log outlays and inflow with a channel (berth, provision, passage, harbor, craft, kin, ballast, or other), a date, an optional voyage or mooring, and a note. Search, date windows, channel filters, and sort stay on the sheet. Edit or delete a mark; cancel leaves the last saved copy alone. Moorings are savings bollards with a target and optional harbor date. Stow ballast as a linked transfer and watch the ring fill. Deleting a mooring keeps the marks and clears the bollard link. Voyages are named projects — a loft refit, a studio, a passage — with their own inflow, outlay, and net. Add marks from the voyage plate. Deleting a voyage unlinks marks without erasing them. The night watch holds recurring orders. When a payment or stipend actually moves, log it as occurred: HarborHelm writes a ledger mark and advances the next due date. Optional local reminders ring only if you enable them in Settings. A first-launch demo harbor fills the chart so the bridge, filters, moorings, voyages, and watch have real figures. Demo seed runs only when no log file exists. Later launches keep your edits. The log is written atomically with a last-good copy if a file is damaged.Read more
