About
Most budgeting apps tell you what you have left. That is the easy half. Budget Pro tells you whether you are on track for the month — and what to do when you are not. WHERE YOU SHOULD BE TODAY Every budget carries a pace marker: not just what is left, but what should be left on the sixteenth of a thirty-day month. Groceries with 34% gone on day 16 is a different story from Groceries with 71% gone, and only one of them needs your attention. SAFE TO SPEND, HONESTLY A single figure that is what is actually yours — after the bills still to leave your account, the money already committed to envelopes, and your savings target. Not your balance. BUILT FOR HOW YOU ARE ACTUALLY PAID Weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly. Four-weekly counts thirteen payments a year, not twelve, which is why one month a year feels unexpectedly comfortable. If your pay lands on the 28th, your month can run 28th to 28th. A payday that falls on a Sunday moves, and the app moves with it. SAVINGS YOU CAN PLAN AGAINST A projection built from the months you have actually had — with a confidence band that widens the further out it goes, and a plain statement of how many months it is based on. If you have a goal and a date, it says whether you will make it and what you would need each month instead. It is arithmetic on your own figures. It assumes nothing about interest or markets, and it is not financial advice. TRY A CHANGE BEFORE YOU MAKE IT A pay rise, a bill going up, nursery fees ending, a new subscription. See what it does to your month and to two years of savings, side by side with where you are now — then see which categories could absorb it. Essentials are never suggested. SET YOUR MONTH ONCE A template holds the lines that repeat — mortgage, council tax, the grocery envelope — and applies them to a new month with a diff you review first. Months already past are protected. A budget can simply repeat on its own, with an optional end date for a fixed-term cost. SCAN A RECEIPT, IMPORT A STATEMENT Point the camera at a receipt and it is read on your phone using Apple's own text recognition. Import a CSV from your bank and it is parsed, de-duplicated against what you already have, and categorised from what it has learned about your merchants. You review everything before it lands. ZAKAT, DONE PROPERLY A full Hijri year, 1 Ramadan to 1 Ramadan, with gold and silver by weight and purity, nisab on either standard, and every point where the schools of thought differ exposed as a setting rather than decided for you. Off by default. HOLIDAYS AND TRIPS Plan a trip with a budget of its own, split across flights, accommodation, food and the rest. EVERY CURRENCY Taken from your device, changeable, and formatted the way you read numbers. A foreign account keeps its own balance and stays out of your totals, because converting it would need a rate that moves. YOUR MONEY STAYS YOURS No account. No sign-up. No servers. Nothing is uploaded, analysed or sold, because there is nowhere for it to go. Your data lives on your device and syncs through your own iCloud if you want it on more than one. Backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you hold. Budget Pro is a one-off purchase. No subscription, no upsell, no adverts. Budget Pro is not a bank and does not connect to one. It does not provide financial, investment or tax advice.Read more

Fixes: • What-if now works from the whole month — all of its income, less every budget, bill and expense — and leads with what the month leaves, not just the change. Create a new what-if to pick up the full figures; saved ones keep their copy. • Repeating income, such as weekly pay, now counts in full for the month on the dashboard, budgets and monthly template. • Credit cards, loans and mortgages are treated as money owed: their balances show as negative and are never counted as income or savings. • Zakat deducts what you owe: card balances in full, loans and mortgages by the rule you choose…
