Macrilon Field App

About
For existing Macrilon customer teams: a company-provided account and an assigned job are required — there is no sign-up in the app. Macrilon Field App is the utility pole survey app for crews working make-ready, joint-use and fiber construction jobs on the Macrilon platform. Walk the line, photograph every pole, and record what is on it. It is built for places with no cell service: the app itself is on your iPhone, so it opens and works where your phone has no signal at all. SURVEY A POLE • Take pole, span, drop and pole-marking photos with the iPhone camera. • Work through a photo checklist for each pole: context, pole markings, looking up, pole top, tag, and guy or anchor. • Record the pole ID, pole tag, attachments, transformer rating, communication companies and notes. • Mark a pole you couldn't reach and choose the reason. • Check shot tells you whether the whole pole is in frame (needs signal). ON A PHONE THAT CAN MEASURE (IPHONE MODELS WITH A LIDAR SCANNER) Ruler: touch the pole where zero should be. Marks at 2.5 ft and 6.5 ft, and at 10.5 ft when that height is on screen, are saved with the photo. They are an on-phone check, not a surveyed height. The map pin can move from where you are standing to the pole face, using the direction and distance from the phone. Stick photo: put the physical stick in the frame. Phones that cannot measure use this path. BEFORE YOU LEAVE • Download your job while you have signal: its poles go onto your iPhone. • The Day readiness check reports what it can measure before you go — room for photos, which jobs are downloaded and how old they are, work still waiting to upload, when your sign-in ends, whether camera and location are allowed, and battery. It shows estimates and says so, and it does not guarantee an all-day run. IN A DEAD ZONE • Open the app, pick your downloaded job, and keep surveying: capture, pole details, notes, the pole list, the map and the guides all work offline. • Photos you save wait on your iPhone. They upload automatically while the app is open, connected and signed in; anything that needs attention is shown in Sync. • The map shows the job's poles, and your position when location is allowed and a fix is available; satellite imagery needs signal. LOCATION FOR EVERY CAPTURE • Your iPhone's location is recorded with each photo while the app is open, when you have allowed location and a usable fix is available. • The app compares it with the pole on record — from your download, so this works offline — and asks you to review a mismatch. • Adjust the pin on satellite imagery when you're standing away from the pole. SEE THE JOB • Poles sorted by distance, showing which ones already have photos. • The photos already uploaded for the job (needs a connection).Read more

• Ruler (iPhone models with a LiDAR scanner): touch the foot of the pole and height marks at 2.5 ft and 6.5 ft, and 10.5 ft when it is on screen, are saved with the photo. They are an on-phone check, not a surveyed height. • The map pin can move from where you are standing to the pole face. • Stick photo is still there for the physical stick and for phones without LiDAR. • New: a scale bar on the map, and hardware labels on uploaded photos are easier to read. • Fixes: taking photos after the app is reopened with no signal; the location line on larger iPhones; the pole list and map show when cr…
