About
The screenshot folder finally sorts itself, then empties itself. A screenshot is the fastest way to save something on an iPhone and the slowest way to find it again. A recipe, a product, an appointment card, a quote, a place someone recommended: it all lands in one chronological wall of images nobody scrolls back through. Sortheim reads the Screenshots album on this iPhone and turns every screenshot into a titled item with a category: task, event, product, recipe, place, quote, something to read. Every item carries a status, so what has been dealt with and what has not is always clear. Everything runs on this iPhone. No account, ever. EVERYTHING STAYS ON THIS IPHONE Text recognition and sorting run on the device, start to finish. No server, no account, no upload, nothing to sign in to. Sorting works in airplane mode. Automatic sorting uses Apple Intelligence and needs an iPhone that supports it. On other iPhones the app reads the text in each screenshot and pre-sorts by keywords. Either way, the category can be changed by hand at any time. ONE TAP, AND IT IS WHERE IT BELONGS The follow-up is built in. • A task becomes a reminder, with the date filled in when the screenshot mentions one. • An event goes to Calendar, with date, time and location when they were found. • A product goes out through the share sheet, to a wishlist app for example. • A recipe or a quote goes out through the share sheet too, screenshot and text included. • A place opens in Maps when an address or a place name was found. • Something to read opens its link when one was found. Sortheim is a transit app, not another place to forget things. HONEST WHEN IT IS NOT SURE When the app cannot tell what a screenshot is, it says so. The item lands in Needs Review with a category picker right there. Nothing is ever marked done by the app alone. LABELS FOR WHAT NEEDS THEM Any item can get its own labels, typed once and reused for whatever comes back. Searching one label finds everything carrying it, across every category. TIDY: DELETE THE ORIGINAL, KEEP WHAT IT SAID Once an item has been looked at and has a category, Sortheim offers to delete the original from Photos. Swipe or tap to mark; marking alone deletes nothing. Everything marked is shown on one screen, where you choose what stays in the app: the text with a small readable copy, or the text alone. A single system confirmation deletes the originals, and Recently Deleted keeps them for 30 days. Once an original is gone, its item can also be removed from the app entirely. NO LIMITS, NO ACCOUNT, NO SUBSCRIPTION Sorting covers every screenshot, past and future. Library, search, every follow-up action, Markdown and CSV export, cleanup, all included. No server, no account, no subscription. Requires iOS 27. Privacy Policy: https://www.appolution.de/imprintRead more
