QuietLink brings invited conversations into a friendly, colorful space with a weather home screen. Free for personal use, with no ads or paid subscriptions. START WITH AN INVITATION An administrator creates your account and gives you an activation invitation and server address. There is no public sign-up. Downloading QuietLink does not automatically create a messaging account. CHAT, SHARE AND CALL • Send encrypted text, photos, animated GIFs, compatible videos, documents and voice messages. • Take a new photo from the chat attachment menu. Reply to a specific message and open web links in another app or browser. • Unlock a conversation with its shared PIN to read its available texts automatically. See read acknowledgements and unread counts. • Open received attachments once, without an in-app Save or Share button. • Make audio and video calls while both participants keep their call screens open. Calling depends on network compatibility and does not continue in the background. MAKE IT YOURS Edit your display name and optional profile photo. Choose a chat color theme or a photo wallpaper stored on your device. Exchange an expiring, single-use friend code with another person who already has an activated account. Friend codes organize your circle; they do not create accounts. CHOOSE WHAT DISAPPEARS Choose a timer for future texts you send, receive, or both, or keep texts until deleted. A timer starts when the recipient opens the text. If both participants' settings apply, the shorter enabled timer wins and removes both active service copies. Changes do not retime existing messages. Delete a message from your view, or delete your own sent message for both participants. Delete a conversation's existing history just for yourself while your partner keeps theirs. New messages can bring the conversation back without restoring your hidden history. WEATHER AND PRIVATE ACCESS Check the weather using optional approximate location or a city search. Message and call alerts use your device's latest available temperature, or a weather-refresh reminder when no recent reading is available. Weather updates depend on opening the app and connectivity; QuietLink does not continuously track location in the background. Tap Add Subscription on the weather screen and enter your four-digit device access PIN to open messaging. Despite its name, this button makes no purchase and starts no paid subscription. Each conversation has a separate shared PIN. SAFETY AND ACCOUNT CONTROL Block unwanted contact and report concerns with an explanation you choose to write. Reports identify the accounts involved to your administrator; private chat content is not attached automatically. Administrators can review reports, disable access and delete accounts. Settings lets you permanently delete your account and its shared conversations from both participants' active service history. Unrelated conversations remain. PLEASE KNOW Four-digit PINs have limited resistance to guessing. Display names, profile photos and weather-notification information are readable service data, not encrypted chat content. View-once and deletion controls cannot prevent screenshots, another camera or independent copies. Backups and provider-held copies have separate retention limits explained in the Privacy Policy.
