Puente displays what you said, translates into the other language, and speaks the translation aloud with an AI-generated voice. YOUR OPENAI ACCOUNT Puente Realtime is free to download and has no in-app purchases. It requires your own OpenAI API key, an internet connection, microphone permission, and an API account with available credit and access to the required Realtime and transcription models. OpenAI bills API usage directly to your account. A ChatGPT subscription does not include API usage. Setup checks whether OpenAI accepts your connection settings. CLEAR PRIVACY CONTROLS Your API key is stored in your device’s Keychain. After your consent, microphone audio streams directly to OpenAI while listening, including pauses and background sounds. OpenAI supplies transcripts, translations, and generated speech. MyBigApps does not operate a translation server. Conversation history stays in app memory; Puente does not keep a saved transcript archive. OpenAI’s data policies and account settings apply to processing and retention. Tap Stop to stop listening. Listening also stops when the app enters the background. Clear the conversation or remove your API key in the app. Let other participants know their speech will be sent to OpenAI. Translations begin after a short pause. AI can make mistakes; check important translations with the other person.
