About
Squinting at your CD player's tiny display? Fumbling through a streaming app to see what's playing? There's a better way. Listener: Now Playing was built for one specific setup: prop an iPad on a stand next to your stereo, and it shows the album art, song title, and artist — big enough to read from across the room. No more leaning in to read a two-line CD player screen. No more unlocking your phone and hunting through a radio app just to find out what track is playing. Leave it there and it just works, continuously, for as long as the music keeps playing. Built for one thing. Listener isn't a Shazam replacement — it's the display Shazam's own "Auto Shazam" feature doesn't offer. Auto Shazam quietly sends you a notification; Listener quietly shows you the answer, on a screen, the whole time. Your privacy: • Nothing is ever recorded or saved. • Only a brief audio fingerprint is sent to Apple's Shazam matching service — nothing else leaves your iPad. • Continuous listening is off by default. You turn it on explicitly, with a clear explanation, and can turn it off just as easily. Recent matches stay in a simple on-screen history you can clear anytime. Requires an iPad running iOS [X]. Designed to be left running.Read more
