A private journal for iPhone. Everything you write stays on your device, encrypted and locked behind Face ID. There is no account to create, no sync to set up, and no connection to the internet at any point. WRITING Type an entry, or hold the microphone and speak. Your words are transcribed on the iPhone as you talk, and the recording is kept alongside the text. Photograph a page from a paper notebook and the handwriting is read and made searchable, with the original image kept above it. The notebook you already keep becomes part of the record without being retyped. Nothing begins on its own. The keyboard, the microphone and the camera stay closed until you open them. CONNECTIONS innerstory notices when something you write today relates to something you wrote months ago, and brings the earlier passage back with its date. It does not score your mood, label your thinking, or tell you what a pattern means. It shows you your own words and leaves the conclusion to you. PRIVACY • Entries, recordings and photographs are encrypted with AES-256 on the device • The key is held in the iPhone keychain and never leaves it • Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode is required every time the app opens • The app switcher shows the app name, never your writing • Location and camera data are removed from photographs before they are stored • Transcription, handwriting recognition and connections all run on the iPhone • No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third party code BACKUP Because nothing is uploaded, nothing is backed up for you. Settings includes an export that writes your entries to a plain text file you can keep wherever you like. It is the only copy there is.
