About

How dark is your window tint, really? Tint Meter gives you a quick estimate of the VLT (visible light transmission) straight from your iPhone or iPad. It works with two readings. Hold the edge with the front camera against the closed window and take the first one, then lower the window and take the second from the same spot. Tint Meter compares the two and shows how much light gets through, a tint level, and the range the true value most likely falls in. Tint Meter measures light with the front camera. No photos or video are taken, stored or sent anywhere. What you get • A VLT percentage with a realistic range around it • A tint level in plain words • A quick re-check that tells you whether the light stayed steady • Warnings when it's too dark, too bright, or the light changes mid-reading • History with names like "Family car, front left" so you can compare windows later • A result card you can share with a tint shop or a friend No account needed. Please note: Tint Meter is an estimate, not a certified tint meter. Results depend on your device, the light and how you hold it. Don't rely on it for legal, police, insurance or certification purposes. For an official check, use a calibrated meter.Read more
