About

DayDare trains the skill that predicts happiness better than almost anything else: being easy around people. Every day you get one small mission — ask the barista what they actually like, ask a colleague for help, invite a friend for a walk. Most take two to ten minutes. For most of them, you get the actual words to use before you go. HOW IT WORKS • One mission a day, from six ladders: Presence, Small talk, Asking, Inviting, Depth and Hosting. Each has five levels, and you move up on your own once you manage the same level twice. • Missions fit where your life happens — work, a café, the street — so you never get "ask a coworker" on a day you work from home. • Before you go, "What to say": an opening line, what to say if they answer in one word, and what to do if they say no. Eight characters, each difficult in a different way, so the words fit the person in front of you. • Guess first: predict how frightening it will feel afterward. • Log it in thirty seconds — Did it, Partly or Not today. Every honest answer counts the day. Rate your fear before and after, and see your guess next to what really happened. WATCH THE FEAR GET SMALLER • Your journal shows how much less afraid you are after a mission, on average — and whether the fear before is falling, week by week, ladder by ladder. • Calibration shows how often reality turns out easier than you expected. • A letter at the end of each week about what moved. • Your record on one page: every number recomputed from your journal, yours to keep or show anyone. ALWAYS WITHIN REACH • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a Live Activity while a mission is on, and a Control Center button. • An Apple Watch app with a complication. • Siri and Shortcuts: "What's my mission?", "What do I say?" • Spotlight finds any of the 100 missions from the Home Screen. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no email, no analytics, no ads. • Your journal lives in your own iCloud. There is no DayDare server. • Dictated notes are transcribed on your device. • Save a copy as a file, or delete everything, at any time. MADE FOR EVERYONE VoiceOver with audio graphs, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, light and dark appearance, and three palettes. One swap a day if a mission doesn't fit, one extra mission if you want more, and a streak that forgives a missed day each week. It counts honesty, not pressure. DayDare is not dating advice, not therapy and not a technique for influencing anyone. Every mission respects a no. If you need more than an app, please talk to someone: findahelpline.comRead more
